Accessibility Statement

The Sieben Tourism Association e.V. is committed to making the Siebenecken.app web app accessible to all users. The legal basis for this is the North Rhine-Westphalia Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (BGG NRW) and the North Rhine-Westphalia Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (BITV NRW), which implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102. The standards used are EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

This statement applies to siebenecken.app and the app's location pages, such as hille.siebenecken.app.

Status of Compatibility

The app is partially compliant with the requirements. Features implemented include a consistent heading structure, keyboard navigation with visible focus, a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for text, the ability to zoom to 200 percent without content being cut off, a dedicated font size setting, buttons measuring at least 44 by 44 pixels, and the absence of animations when the device reports “Reduce Motion.”

There are ways to access interactive content:

  • The locations on a tour are available as a list in addition to the map. A jump link skips past the map.
  • Games can be played by tapping and with the keyboard, even where you would otherwise drag something. In the settings (gear icon at the top right), you can switch on accessible mode under “Accessibility”. Games then run without a time limit.
  • Images, 3D models, and 360-degree panoramas include text descriptions. You can rotate 3D models and panoramas using the keyboard.
  • Audio clips with subtitles include a text version that you can read along with.

Content that is not accessible

To the extent that the app contains such content, the following applies:

  • Checking in at a location requires the device to report its location while on-site.
  • The on-site scavenger hunt using a map, camera, or 3D view requires vision.
  • The photo booth requires a camera. Alternatively, you can upload an existing photo.
  • Older audio clips do not yet have a transcript. New audio clips are automatically provided with one.
